Volunteer Duties List
1. Website Development: Working with website coordinator to update our website and make it more user friendly, previous website building experience a must.
2. Fundraising: Planning events and helping the center in different ways to raise fund for our work.
3. Movie Events at the Center: Help us develop a movie theater at the Center for a once a week movies gathering. We need help with figuring out sound and publicity.
4. Tabling events: We need folks to sell tickets, pass around sign up sheets and keep track of attendees at our many events.
5. Editing and Translating Films: The Center has much footage and several films that need both editing and translation English /Spanish for subtitling.
6. Editing and Translating Brochures / Website: We are set to begin the Spanish version of our website and have several types of literature that need translating
7. Grant writing and Seeking
8. Leafleting for events: Either at the Center’s events, at others’ events or in public spaces.
9. Community Organizing: Mexican nationals to work with communities we already serve (this type of volunteer work could lead to a part time paid position) or that might be interested in our projects.
10. Cooperative building: We badly need bi-lingual persons experienced in building coops to advise and support coops served by the Center.
11. Network Volunteer: Bi-lingual outreach to other organization here in San Miguel or abroad to form support networks for the center
12. Co coordinator of research assistants : to work with the interns we have during our summer session
13. Marketing Volunteer: Anyone with marketing know how is needed to help our coops market their products
14. Film volunteer: To help develop a 10 minute or less film for the website about the center
15. Accounting Volunteer: anyone with accounting/bookkeeping knowledge needed to help our coops
16. Admin Assistant: In the fall the center will need several volunteers to fill in days at the Center’s office answering the phone and receiving visitors.
